Tyson T. Tamashiro is an attorney at Est8Planning Counsel. He concentrates his practice in estate planning and trust and estate litigation.
Tyson graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law, where he earned the CALI Award for Excellence in Real Estate Development & Finance, Civil Procedure II, Criminal Procedure, and Second Year Seminar. He was a member of the University of Hawaii Law Review and his Comment, published in the Law Review’s 2008 Winter Edition, received second place in the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, 2008 Law Student Writing Contest.
Prior to joining Est8Planning Counsel, Tyson gained experience at the trial and appellate levels as a civil litigation attorney and in conservatorship, guardianship, probate, and trust litigation while clerking at the Circuit Court of the First Circuit, State of Hawaii. In law school, he completed student volunteer clerkships at the Hawaii Supreme Court and the Hawaii Intermediate court of Appeals, as well as externship focusing on land use and real property law at the City and County of Honolulu Corporation Counsel.
Outside of work, Tyson enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and golfing.
